The Ideal Candidate
Reporting directly to the Business Due Diligence Manager, we are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments. This role calls for clear and confident communication, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while exercising sound judgment and accountability.
Main Responsibilities
Performing risk assessments on various types of suppliers, intermediaries and outsourced functions at onboarding and ongoing monitoring stages, adopting a risk-based approach.
Performing Enhanced Due Diligence reviews by requesting the necessary documentation and/or information from suppliers and stakeholders.
Performing PEP & Sanctions screening, background checks and documents analysis - including the identification and verification of key individuals, Directors and UBOs.
Affecting timely follow-ups on information requests.
Promptly escalating high risk cases to the Management.
Maintaining the veracity of the information stored within the due diligence database, for records held on suppliers and outsourced functions.
Filling in forms for requests received from third-parties, providing accurate information and/or documentation, ensuring consistency and that there are no confidentiality breaches.
Collaborating with the Legal team for the upkeep of internal documentation.
Ensuring proper record-keeping of tasks conducted and decisions made via JIRA ticketing system.
Maintaining continuous development and keeping up to date with evolving regulatory requirements.
Proactively contributing towards the overall development of the Business Due Diligence function.
Participating in maintaining up-to-date supplier lists under the different regulations that Wildz Group operates within.
Performing ad hoc tasks that may arise from time to time.
Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external third parties to ensure clear and effective communication.
Adhere to the quality and information security policy, contributing to the effectiveness of the integrated management system, and promoting a customer-focused mindset throughout the organisation.
Experience and Skills
1 year of experience in compliance and/or AML-related roles, preferably within the gambling industry or another highly regulated sector.
Familiarity with AML screening tools and databases (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones).
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Flexible individual with excellent work management skills and ability to prioritize in line with departmental and company targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with personnel at all levels. Another language proficiency would be considered an asset.
Dynamic individual with the ability and willingness to identify opportunities for development.
An understanding of entity types and corporate structures would be considered an asset.
Professional certifications desirable (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent).
