The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Sportsbook Trading and Risk Analyst with solid experience in Sportsbook Trading or Risk Management, strong analytical and communication skills, and a deep understanding of sports markets and customer behaviour. Knowledge of gaming regulations and fluency in Finnish are strong advantages. The ideal person is data-driven, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing
- Trading & Risk Management: Monitor betting activity, identify sharp betting patterns, and escalate high-risk or fraudulent behaviour. Support the Operations Manager with trading tasks such as managing limits, overrounds, and price adjustments.
- VIP: Work closely with the VIP account managers, ensuring superior experiences for our most valued players.
- Custom Markets: Assist in creating Wildz Specials, boosted odds, bespoke markets, and influencer-driven bet selections.
- Compliance: Support all sportsbook-related compliance tasks, including MGA alerts, documentation upkeep, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Sportsbook Operations: Perform daily trading and operational duties including player profiling, market creation, price boosts, Bet of the Day, influencer bets and manual pricing management.
- Site Ownership: Manage Nordic market sportsbook content, banners, prioritisation of leagues/events, widget configuration, and ensuring accurate and engaging presentation.
- Operational Support: Handle escalations from Customer Support, VIP, Fraud, AML, and Payments teams, ensuring prompt and accurate resolutions.
- Translations & Assets: Coordinate translations and banner assets across all markets, including updates from suppliers and in-house teams.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, streaming, and data teams to support campaigns, promotions, and product initiatives.
- Holiday & Absence Coverage: Provide backup coverage for sportsbook site management, content updates, and key operational tasks during team holidays.
- The position requires flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the sports calendar and operational needs. A structured shift plan will be communicated ahead of time.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong understanding of the sports market and customer preferences
- At least 2 years in the iGaming industry.
- Experience in Sportsbook Trading and/or Risk Management is mandatory.
- Finnish Language is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements within the gaming industry is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
