The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Junior Accounts Payable to support our finance department by managing daily accounts payable tasks. To ensure better alignment and support for our Accounts Payable processes, you’ll be working closely with the Accounts Payable Lead who will provide guidance and oversight on AP-related activities.
What you will be doing
- Review and process vendor invoices with accuracy. Ensuring proper coding, documentation, and approval. Ensure proper allocations of expenses across companies, departments, products, countries and other cost centres.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors by meeting quality and timeliness standards. Monitor due dates to ensure timely payment.
- Vendor balance reconciliations and investigation of any differences.
- Administrating Corporate Credit Card/Petty Cash Payments
- Assisting in posting of Bank Payments and reconciliation.
- Assisting in preparing and posting monthly Accruals and Prepayments and their controls and allocations.
- Posting monthly Depreciation/Amortisation.
- Assisting Auditors on all queries related to the items taken care of as above.
- Reimbursements accounting, reconciling employee department charges and monitoring of allowance budgets.
Skills and Experience Required
- A-Level in Accounting or an equivalent qualification that demonstrates a strong foundation in accounting principles.
- 1.5 - 2 years’ experience in a similar position, in particular holding experience in the accounts payable processes.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Knowledge of accounting software Navision/Dynamics 365 BC would be considered an asset.
- Methodical and organised with high attention to detail.
- A proven track record of having worked in an agile and deadline driven environment.
- Comfortable with using digital tools and platforms that enhance efficiency, including AI-powered systems and automation technologies.
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision whilst also able to work as part of a team.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with strong Communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within our team.
